San Diego based Technology Integration Group (TIG), a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, has recently been appointed as one of only two national authorized resellers to participate in Microsoft’s pilot program as an Enterprise Software Advisor (ESA).  The role of an Enterprise Software Advisor is to consult with small and medium size companies to help customers choose the appropriate licensing program which helps companies reduce their cost of Microsoft licensing and helps them maximize program benefits that exist in today’s offerings.

TIG was selected by Microsoft as an Enterprise Software Advisor because of our geographic coverage of 18 US cities and our professional sales organization.  In addition, TIG has been providing products and services to the small and medium market space for more than 23 years.  This made TIG an excellent fit for this program. We look forward to educating our customers on the benefits of these licensing programs that are represented in the ESA offerings.  Many customers are just not aware of these programs and the cost savings that they represent.  TIG is excited about our participation in this very unique offering and feels that this is just another way to add value to our customers.

Microsoft Licensing Options
Microsoft licenses software three primary ways:

Full Packaged Product
Full Packaged Product (FPP) is boxed, shrink-wrapped software. Licenses for this type of software are acquired through retail outlets.

Original Equipment Manufacturer
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and System Builder software licenses are acquired when you buy a computer with software legally preinstalled. Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows® are examples of this type of software.

Volume Licensing
Microsoft Volume Licensing programs may be the right choice for your organization if you need multiple copies of Microsoft software. Volume licensing is a flexible and economical way to acquire from five to thousands of licenses for software.
